How to Cope & How to Cover Up a Bad 'Do!
Everyone has experienced a bad haircut at one time or another in their lives. It could have been when you were young and your parents hacked your hair themselves; or maybe you were trying the latest ‘trend’ haircut, which turned out to be a bad idea; or, perhaps, you are suffering from a bad haircut right now! The question is what can you do to cope and cover the mess up until it grows out?
Prevent Future Bad Haircuts
The first thing to keep in mind when you do get a bad haircut is to try and avoid a hair disaster for the future. Stay away from haircuts that are too trendy or off-the-wall. Also, make sure that you and your hairstylist communicate about what would look best on you and how he/she would achieve it. Communicate to your stylist about how much time you have to maintain the style so that you are not left with something that takes hours to re-create if you don’t have the time.
Coping with a Bad Haircut
The damage is done. Don’t try to snip a little here and there at home and don’t go back to cut any more if you’ve already chopped most of your locks off. It is time that you faced reality and let the news that you have a bad haircut set in. You needn’t worry, because there are many ways to cover up your bad ‘do!
If your hair has been hacked into and is uneven in texture, work with it. Use a texturizing product daily that will give your hair that bed-head look. TIGI’s Bed Head Manipulator should do the trick. This product will give you great texture and control allowing you to get a piecy look that enhances your bad haircut.
If your locks got chopped extra short, you can fix this issue very easily by adding extensions. You can go to a professional stylist to have them put in or you can do-it-yourself by getting the Jessica Simpson HairDo Clip In Extensions. A professional might charge upward of $1,000 for extensions, but the HairDo line offers synthetic hair extensions for under $100 to keep you looking fabulous until your hair grows in.
Another option for a messed-up style is scarves and headbands. Luckily, both of these options are very chic and in style. Just throw a scarf on over your dreadful ‘do to cover up the mess underneath. And headbands work to cover up many hideous haircuts including botched bang jobs. Just simply slip your headband on and tame down your hair with a smoothing serum to make your style look sleek and sexy.
Finding yourself with a bad haircut may not be so awful, thanks to these sweet style solutions.

Great tips .. Thanx for sharing dear
1i think if you're ever unhappy with a hair cut or color job, you should definitely go back and tell your stylist to fix it. they would much rather have to redo your hair then lose you as a customer forever. and often, they can make your bad haircut so much more bearable with just a few alterations.
2Have you noticed that there are an increasing amt of ppl walking around with really messed up hair cuts? This is due to the passive aggressive epidemic that is spreading throughout hair salons. If you have not gotten a hair cut, you may consider cutting your own hair...it will save you the physical and emotional trauma from these passive aggressive hair stylist. You can **never** identify a passive aggressive hair stylist! Never. They will be extremely friendly to you the whole time...this is to mask their anger/insecurities. But once they are done with your hair, you will be left with a hideous haircut, on purpose. Split ends (using a dull pair of scissors, on purpose) will probably follow after a few days or weeks or your brand new cut. We need to join force and boycott salons by cutting our own hair. These people are making a *****GOOD**** living taking their anger out on your hair. For those of you sporting a hair cut from a passive aggressive hair stylist, you are not alone, A LOT of people are too. But don't forget what happened to you and don't let another money hungry stylist convince you it was a mistake...it's wasn't. Spread the word, help others who have not been victimized!
